Research

I have taken time out from my ENT registrar-training programme to undertake laboratory research as part of a higher degree. I am using next generation sequencing to develop a molecular profile for extracapsular spread in head and neck cancer. I am doing this by analysing copy number variations as well as microRNA signatures in archived tissue samples.

I have been awarded grants from the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation and Mason Medical Research Foundation totalling over £100,000 to carry out this work.
